Well late May into early June the weather hasn’t been to kind to our Offshore charters, however we did manage to get a few charters out with Sunshine Coast Afloat and Top Catch Charters to the local Reefs and Barwon Banks. Once the strong winds died down and grey skies disappeared for a few days allowing our anglers to net some really nice sized Snapper, Cobia, Tuna, Sweet lip, Moses Perch, spangled Emperor, spectacular colored Coral Trout.

Caloundra 9 Mile and 12 mile produced some good size snapper, Venus Tusk fish, pearl Perch and some longtail Tuna. Inner Gneerings, Murphy’s Reef and Currimundi reef didn’t disappoint with Spangles Emperor, spotty Mackerel, good size cobia also on the bite. Barwon banks was the best place to be seeing punters net some really good sized Snapper, yellow tail Kingfish, Amberjacks,Tuskies and Cobia.

The high light of this week was seeing our first 18 hour o’night trip head out for the season chasing the Snapper and other winter species. Our 12 anglers on board Crusader 1 thoroughly enjoyed their o’night fishing experience with Sunshine Coast Afloat. Well done Toby ,Rob and crew for giving our guests a very memorable and wonderful night of fishing out at the Continental Shelf.A big thank you to the new deck hand Zoe for cooking up a storm on the BBQ.
